Certified Biblical Counselor
Relational soul-care with biblical integrity
Requirements to Qualify as a Certified Biblical Counselor with TILBC
Becoming a Certified Biblical Counselor through Truth in Love means more than completing a program of education. It demonstrates a robust understanding of rightly handling God’s Word, and does so with sufficiency and clarity. It also demonstrates that you can walk with others through hardship and sin struggles, and provide wise, compassionate, biblically sound soul-care.
Certified Biblical Counselors are not only equipped with strong theological knowledge and counseling skill, but they have shown that they can guide others through biblical transformation and provide effective, compassionate one-anothering care.
Certification is distinct from Commissioning, not greater or lesser. It includes formal theological and counseling exams, as well as supervised ministry, making it ideal for those called to counsel with deeper formal engagement and accountability.
