"Commissioned for Discipleship & Soul-Care"
"Commissioned for Discipleship & Soul-Care"
Commissioning is for those who have and will focus on discipling others in a more relational and less formal way than a Certified Biblical Counselor normally will.
Those Commissioned for Discipleship & Soul-Care through TILBC will have received the same education and training as those who become certified, yet their ability to properly minister God's Word is the greater focus of the Commissioning Program than their education. |
Those who seek to be commissioned through TILBC for Discipleship & Soul-Care will be individuals of high integrity and Christian character who have demonstrated adequate education and experience to properly and biblically care for the troubled and the in trouble.
They will be men and women who have a passion for discipling others through difficulties in life with compassion, understanding, and wise guidance from God's Word.
They will be individuals committed to the sufficiency of Scripture to address every matter with wisdom and godliness, no matter the problem.
They will not ignore the physical well-being of those they disciple, yet they will not ascribe to the tenets of Modern Psychology, nor will they use or promote those modalities (like EMDR).
Those who seek to be part of the Truth in Love Biblical Counseling family of Biblical Counselors and Disciplers will be involved in a local Christian fellowship and in discipling relationships where they are on the receiving end. As a result, they will continue to grow in their faith and faithfulness and will continue to learn as disciplers and soul-care "providers."
